The Curatorial Exchange program 2017 candidates !

We are glad this year to announce that Dasha Birukova, Natalia Zonova, Natalia Fuchs, Ekaterina Savchenko, Anna Buali and Anna Fatyanova have been selected for the Curatorial Exchange program 2017 on the topic "Reaching Out". They will soon leave for their internship in Europe. When they will come back, each of them will present us a new project during the Curatorial Battle !

 Dasha Birukova

 Natalia Zonova
Independent curator, whose interests mainly touch upon the display of the political and historical context of the arts and culture. Graduated from Higher School of Econimics from the faculty of Social Sciences. Currently she studies at the University of Bologna, following the arts management program. She worked as a curator for the exhibition "Lost Moscow in 3D models: Kitay-gorod" in the Museum of Moscow, supported my the Prince Michael of Kent Foundation. At the moment she works in Bologna, involved into the project "Eco of the Revolution".  

 Natalia Fuchs
Natalia Fuchs is international curator and media art historian, expert in art & culture management and international public relations, lecturer and writer currently based in Moscow, Russia. 
She was graduated from the University of Manchester, UK (Cultural Management, 2008) and became Leonardo scholarship winner at the History of Media Arts program of Donau-Universität (low-residence, Austria) in 2010.In 2009-2011 she was related to MediaArtLab and Media Forum — the special program of the Moscow International Film festival dedicated to media arts, experimental films and digital context with more than 10 years history.  In 2013 - 2016 Natalia Fuchs was curating experimental programs and international exhibitions for Polytechnic Museum in Moscow. Among her curatorial projects for the Polytechnic Museum were Polytech.Science.Art interdisciplinary program, Electronic Livingroom experimental space, EarthLab exhibition co-curated with Ars Electronica (Linz, Austria), Tania Candiani and Pinar Yoldas solo-shows in Moscow and many others. Under her supervision Polytech.Science.Art program received diploma of the Ministry of Culture as one of the best educational museum projects in Russia in 2015. Currently Natalia Fuchs work as curator and head of multimedia programs department at the National Center for Contemporary Arts which is a part of ROSIZO museum and exhibition center; and also teaching Media Art History at the Moscow State University, Department of World Art History.

 Ekaterina Savchenko
Manager of projects in the cultural sphereGraduated from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow and the Master's program specialized in Cultural Management and Cultural Policy at the University of Goldsmiths in London, she studied the social significance of art and its role in the development of peripheral urban areas.
Currently she works as a manager of the exhibition department in the Garage Museum of Modern Art in Moscow. Among the latest projects she works on is Raymond Pettibon's "Cloud of False Reading". She also participates in the organization of the Triennial of Russian Contemporary Art. Previously, she directed the main project of the 6th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art (curators: Bart de Bare, Defne Ayas and Nikolaus Schafhausen) and worked as an independent cultural projects manager and manager for special events at the Garage Museum.
She also was a visiting lecturer at the RMA Business School (organization of exhibition projects and cultural policy) and is the author of articles and interviews with contemporary Russian artists for Buro 24/7, Wonderzine and Kommersant Style.

Anna Buali
Anna Buali, an independent media art researcher. She worked at the research department of the MEA Manege, where she organized exhibition and educational projects, including the open school Manege/MediaArtLab, the exhibition cycle for young media artists Great Expectations, exhibition and educational program Golden age of Russian Avant-garde and others. In 2017 she realized projects for development of the socio-cultural policy of LLC Technopark Skolkovo.

 Anna Fatyanova
Anna Fatyanova was born 1986 in Moscow. She has master’s degree in the international relations - graduated from the RGGU in Moscow, attended master’s courses in social science in Goettingen (Germany) and as a holder of Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship studied political and visual anthropology at the universities of Bern and Fribourg (Switzerland). 2014 Anna founded a nonprofit association - Artistaround (www.artistaround.ch) which supports intercultural communication between Russian and Swiss artists and 2017 opened an independent art space Dreiviertel (www.dreiviertel.ch) in Bern. In 2016 she was a curator-in-residence at Viafarini in Milano (www.viafarini.org), working on an exhibition project “Geometry of history”, that was later presented in CCI Fabrika in Moscow.
